A New Year full of New Plans!

SeedTribe new year

Our first newsletter of 2020 outlines our exciting new plans for the year ahead.

Hi,

The start of 2020 marks 10 years until the 2030 target of achieving the 17 United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. At SeedTribe we are lucky to work with a range of innovative startups tackling these global challenges, from reducing inequalities to promoting responsible consumption and production. But, for us, it is not only about the startups we support but our whole SeedTribe network of driven individuals who support profitable, purpose-led business, investing their money, time or expertise to support entrepreneurs and organisations that partner with growing startups. Our aim is to keep supporting these partnerships as, for us, we believe that collaboration is essential to create change. Thank you to everyone who has been involved so far! We would love to hear from you if you want to be part of our growing network.

In true January style, we have been setting out our plans and intentions for the year ahead. Building on from 2019 (which was all about launching SeedTribe as a collaborative network, finding out what barriers entrepreneurs face in the impact space, and building a new website) this year our plans are:

  • To shine a spotlight on the most promising impactful startups so as to help them scale and to highlight how we can all be involved in using business as a force for good
  • To increase the number of people who meaningfully invest their time, money and resources to increase the impact of the startups in the SeedTribe network
  • To actively enable meaningful collaborations at all levels including: partnerships between startups, helping corporates and startups work together, and enabling talented individuals to support startups
  • To continue to lobby government to provide more support and opportunities for impactful startups

Through this, we aim to amplify the voice of impact business and accelerate the change we need to see in the world

Get involved

As a collaborative platform, we are built on input from our members as together we form a powerful, collective voice able to drive forward change. By having a united voice and working as a focused and driven group, we believe that we can change how business can help achieve the UN SDGs by 2030.

Shifting the status-quo requires creating the infrastructure to enable systemic, long-term change. This will require hard-work and time, but by bringing together passionate, dedicated minds we can start to make a difference. We are excited to work with you on this challenge and to have the opportunity to positively impact future generations. Start getting involved today by browsing the startups in the SeedTribe network and find out about their innovative ideas.

And finally, for a little bit of inspiration to counteract the January blues, listen to Tessa Clarke, Co-founder of the food sharing app Olio, talking about leadership and how business can be a force for good.

Best wishes,

Rozzy
